Our Team

Our team has skilled therapists, providing patients with quality treatment through their extensive knowledge and experience in treating neurological conditions. In order for the patient to gain the most benefit from their treatment we provide the following:

Multidisciplinary Team Work

The rehabilitation program is multidisciplinary, bringing the skills of a team of rehabilitation specialists to bear on the unique needs of each patient.

Our team includes:

  • Physiotherapists
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Speech and Language Therapists

Working alongside:

  • Neurologists
  • Neurosurgeons
  • Dieticians
  • Psychologists

Nursing staff of the ICU and neuro- spinal ward

Collaborative Therapy Sessions

Joint sessions are held at times to achieve integrated team goals whilst addressing the patient’s needs holistically.

Goal Setting

We use goal setting as a means of guiding the rehabilitation process and monitoring progress. Goals are tailor-made for each patient, since each person is unique and has his/ her own designated needs and goals. The patient, their family and the therapy team identify the goals to be achieved and these are reviewed on a regular basis.

Information Brochures

We recognise that there is a great deal of information to take on board following the diagnosis of a neurological condition. Education of patients, families and carers are provided. Various booklets related to several disorders are available to the patient and families for information.

Reports

A multidisciplinary report is compiled for those patients that remain in the hospital for longer than 2 weeks. The reports are disseminated to the patient’s referring doctor, GP and the unit to which the patient is discharged, to ensure clear feedback and promote communication between all involved parties.

Outpatients reports are written bi-annually.
